HEAD, RESEARCH (JOB REF. #:SCD002)
JOB PROFILEThe Research unit is responsible for providing strategic recommendations by generating fundamental research and analysis of companies, industries, markets and economics. The Head of Research will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and will have strategic and operational responsibility for a team experienced research analysts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform market research and assist in the development of competitive and business intelligence research and analysis;
• Formulate industry forecasts and provide opinions on industry trends;
• Leads, manage and grow a team of research talent and a series of research projects
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
• Solid understanding of the Nigerian financial services sector, macro economy and capital markets;
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of projects, exceptional analytical capabilities and research skills;
• Excellent writing and communication skills, along with the ability to interpret research finding so that the audience benefits from actionable insights;
• Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree and at least 7 years of relevant post-graduate work experience;
• Strong preference for candidates with demonstrated research leadership experience in financial services
